To the Church of Jesus Christ,

Welcome onboard to our 50-day prayer campaign. As you commit yourself completely to praying the ‘bible way’ over the next 50-days we believe that awesome miracles and powerful life-changing events will take place all over your congregation.

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with this introductory teaching and prepare yourself for a fantastic journey, that will change your life forever.

We have an amazing privilege in prayer. We can literally communicate with the maker of the heavens and the earth and develop an intimacy with Him that is so much deeper than the deepest relationship that we can ever experience with even our closest friend or lover on this earth! But the intimacy that we are able to develop with our God is only as strong as the prayers that we pray.

The greatest tragedy is not un-answered prayer, but un-offered prayer. Countless millions of people know the plan of prayer, the purpose of prayer and the pattern of prayer but they don’t do the practice of prayer. It’s no wonder so many people never experience the real power of God in their daily lives.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Mat 7:7-8)

Jesus clearly stated, if you want to receive then you must first ask. If you want to find you must first seek. If you want to enter in then you must first knock. If we want to be receivers of the good things that God has prepared for us, finders of hidden treasures and secrets of His personality and enterers into His kingdom then we need to be asking, seeking and knocking.

It’s no good ‘knowing’ that we need to ask, seek and knock but doing nothing about it. That’s why pray-ers are the receivers, pray-ers are the finders and pray-ers are the ones whom God allows to experience His kingdom. They are doers of the word and not hearers only.

Now, specifically, we must remember two things about prayer. The bible says that:
1. We must be constantly praying without ceasing – 1 Thessalonians 5:17
2. We make time each day to be focused in our prayer – Matthew 6:6

The aim of this 50-day prayer campaign is twofold. Firstly, we want to effectively develop our ongoing relationship with God throughout our daily lives – praying while we are driving, praying while we are walking, praying while we are with people, praying during our working hours, even praying during our sleep. And secondly, we want to establish a daily routine of spending time alone with God, fellowshipping with Him in the ‘secret place’.

If you will be doers of the word, by obeying Him in prayer, and allowing His Spirit to effectively change you then in 50-days you will kick many rotten habits and instead develop the powerful habit of prayer! Get ready … the results will be phenomenal!
